FAQS
Frequently asked questions
We're here to help you on your desired journey.
What happens after I reach out?
Someone from our team will get back to you to answer your questions and learn a bit about what's bringing you in. From there we'll help match you with the therapist who's the best fit for you or your child, and get your first session on the calendar. Most clients are scheduled within about a week. You don't need to have it all figured out before you contact us. That's what the first conversation is for.
Do you take my insurance, and what if you don't?
We're in-network with Aetna, Cigna/Evernorth, Curative, Sana Benefits, First Health, UnitedHealthcare, Scott & White Health Plan, and UMR. If your plan isn't listed, we can provide a superbill you may submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Self-pay rates generally range from $80 to $250 depending on the clinician, with a limited number of reduced-fee sliding scale spots. We also accept FSA and HSA cards.
Do I have to come to McKinney, or can we meet online?
Both. We see clients in person at our McKinney office and virtually anywhere in Texas. Play therapy for young children is in person, since the playroom is part of how the work happens. For everything else, it's your call, and plenty of families do a mix depending on the week.
Which therapist should I ask for?
You don't have to know. Tell us what's going on and who the therapy is for, and we'll point you toward the clinician whose training fits best, whether that's play therapy for a young child, teen or adult counseling, couples work, or support for men's mental health or perinatal concerns. If you already have someone in mind from our team page, just say their name and we'll check their availability.
