A Warm Welcome

Welcome if you have made it this far. As a therapist, I believe that everyone deserves a safe, compassionate space where they can feel safe and heard. I strive to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space for clients to express anxious feelings, life transitions, relationships, motherhood, and other life challenges. I look forward to assisting you with your journey toward healing and personal growth.

Why I Do This Work

I was drawn to a career in therapy because people have consistently trusted me with their thoughts and feelings, and I found that I genuinely enjoyed listening and being present for them. Those experiences inspired me to pursue a profession where I could develop the skills to help others in a more meaningful, professional way. Now as a mom and wife, I've had experiences like hyperemesis and mom guilt that enable me to utilize sympathy and empathy with mom clients.

Who I Work With Best

I am passionate about working with women because I recognize that many of the issues affecting their mental health can be overlooked or dismissed. As a therapist, I hope to contribute to closing that gap by offering empathetic, culturally responsive care that validates their experiences and promotes healing. I create a space where women feel heard, understood, and supported while helping them navigate those challenges.

How I Work

My Approach

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier behaviors, and improve emotional regulation. I also incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques to help clients develop skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and radical acceptance. Because every client is unique, I believe therapy should be tailored to everyone's needs, goals, and circumstances. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I integrate evidence-based techniques that best support each client's personal growth and healing.

What a Session Feels Like

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but I strive to create a welcoming, laid-back environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself. My goal is to build a genuine, trusting therapeutic relationship during the intake. The intake session gives me the opportunity to learn about your personal history, interests, current concerns, and symptoms so I can better understand your unique experiences. From there, we'll work at your pace to identify your goals, develop practical coping skills, and create a personalized treatment plan that supports your growth and healing.

Areas of Focus

Women

I specialize in working with women to help them find their voice, set healthy boundaries, and develop sustainable self-care practices. Together, we will build self-confidence, foster self-compassion, and create meaningful, lasting change that supports your overall well-being.

Perinatal & Postpartum

I specialize in supporting individuals during the perinatal and postpartum periods, providing compassionate care through the emotional and physical changes that can accompany pregnancy and early parenthood. Together, we'll create a supportive space to address your concerns, strengthen coping skills, and support your mental and emotional well-being.

Parenting Support

Parenting doesn't come with a manual—and sometimes it feels like you're giving everything you have and still wondering if it's enough. I help parents understand what their child or teen may be going through, improve communication at home, and feel more confident navigating hard moments.

A Final Thought

It makes sense to feel nervous about reaching out for therapy—starting something new and personal can feel vulnerable. You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin. Therapy can start exactly where you are, even if that's feeling unsure. Reaching out is simply a first step toward support, and you get to decide what comes next.

FAQS

Questions You Might Be Carrying

A few things people often wonder before reaching out.
How often should we meet or schedule sessions?
I'll make scheduling recommendations based on your assessment scores and the severity of your symptoms. However, as the client, you have the right to choose the frequency of your sessions.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I accept Aetna, Cigna, Curative, and Sana Benefits insurance. I also accept private pay clients.
Can you help me with my problem?
I can assist with general challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. I also have experience with specific challenges such as perinatal, postpartum, domestic violence, self-esteem issues, and women's challenges.
Can you see my loved one (significant other, child, or friend)?
No—this is unethical and a conflict of interest. While I love the enthusiasm for family healing, I recommend that your loved one see a different therapist to preserve confidentiality and objectivity.
How do I get started with virtual therapy in Texas?
Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact page to schedule your intake session, and we'll meet securely online from anywhere in Texas. From there, we'll talk through what's bringing you in and build a plan that fits your goals.
