Who This Is For
This is for the person who has spent most of their life thinking: "Why can I do SO much… and also not do the simplest thing on earth?"
You might be here if:
- You've been diagnosed with ADHD, ADD, or Autism—or you're pretty sure you fit the description, even if nobody ever said it out loud
- You have a million tabs open in your brain and on your browser
- You start things with full confidence… and then suddenly they don't exist anymore
- You either hyperfocus like a machine or can't focus on anything at all (no in-between)
- You've mastered the art of looking "fine" while internally drowning in tasks, noise, and pressure
- You forget simple things and then somehow remember a random conversation from 2009 at 2am
- You're exhausted from trying to keep up with everyone else's version of "normal"
At your worst, it might feel like:
- "I'm failing at life, even though I'm trying really hard"
- "Why can everyone else just… do things?"
- "I swear I just had this thought and now it's gone forever"
- "I'm either doing everything or absolutely nothing"
- "I'm tired of disappointing people and myself"
And underneath all of that is usually something softer: You're not lazy. You're overloaded. And nobody ever really taught you how your brain actually works.
What's Really Going On
Most people we work with aren't struggling because they're not trying—they're struggling because they've been trying to function without the right tools for their wiring. Here's what's usually going on:
Executive Function Is Not "Broken"—It's Overloaded
Starting tasks, organizing life, and managing time can feel like trying to herd cats… while someone keeps adding more cats. It's not a motivation issue—it's a regulation and processing issue.
The "I Should Be Able to Do This" Trap
This one hurts. You know what to do. You want to do it. And still… it doesn't happen. That gap creates a lot of shame that builds over time.
Masking Until You Crash
A lot of neurodivergent people learn to "perform normal." You show up, smile, get it done… and then completely fall apart in private because it took everything out of you.
Emotional Overload & Nervous System Burnout
Big feelings hit fast and hard—or get shut down completely. Either way, it can feel like your emotions are driving the car and you're just along for the ride.
How We Help
This is not "try harder" therapy. Nobody needs more of that.
Our Approach
We help you understand your brain in a way that actually makes sense—and then build tools that don't fall apart the second life gets messy (because it will). We focus on:
- ADHD, ADD, and Autism-informed strategies that are realistic, not idealistic
- Nervous system regulation (so you're not constantly in overwhelm or shutdown)
- Reducing shame (because honestly, it's doing the most damage)
- Building systems that work with your patterns, not against them
No forcing you into "just use a planner" advice that you've already tried 47 times.
What Sessions Look Like
It's usually a mix of:
- "Okay, what's actually happening in your brain right now?"
- Untangling overwhelm into something manageable
- Figuring out why things keep falling apart (without judgment)
- Building strategies that fit your actual life, not an imaginary perfect version of it
- Sometimes laughing at how ridiculous the human brain can be while also being very serious about helping it work better
You don't have to perform "put together." You can just show up as you are.
Our Experience in This Area
We work with children, teens, and adults navigating ADHD, ADD, and/or Autism across school, work, relationships, parenting, and burnout recovery. We're not here to "normalize" you. We're here to help you stop fighting yourself and those around you.
Why People Come Here (And What Changes)
People often start noticing:
- Less self-blame when things don't go as planned
- More understanding of their patterns instead of constant frustration
- Better ability to actually finish things (without burnout spirals)
- More emotional regulation and less "why am I like this" moments
- Healthier boundaries around energy and capacity
- A sense of: "Oh… this actually makes sense now."
What to Expect
First Session
First sessions are pretty simple: we talk about your life, not a diagnosis checklist. You might hear questions like: What feels hardest right now? Where do things keep breaking down? What have you already tried that didn't work? There's no pressure to be "organized" in telling your story. If your thoughts come out in 12 directions, that actually tracks.
Do I Have to Be Consistent to Benefit?
No. In fact, inconsistency is usually part of what we're working on—not a requirement for getting help.
How Fast Will I Notice Change?
Most people notice early relief from finally feeling understood—and then gradual changes as we build systems that actually stick.
Logistics
In-Person vs Virtual
Both work. Virtual is often great for comfort and low overwhelm. In-person can help with structure and focus. We'll figure out what works for your brain, not just your calendar.
Session Length
45-minute sessions standard. Extended sessions available when needed for deeper planning or complex overwhelm.
Insurance & Investment
Insurance may be accepted depending on the provider. Private pay options are available, and superbills can be provided for out-of-network reimbursement.
Let's Make Life Feel More Doable
You don't have to keep forcing yourself to function in a way that constantly drains you. There's nothing wrong with needing things to be different. That's usually the clue—not the problem. We'll help you figure out what actually works for your brain—and build from there, without judgment.
